Bike Trail Riding
Organizer: Save the Maah Daah Hey
Experience some of America’s most awe-inspiring terrain with Save the Maah Daah Hey, offering free guided mountain bike ride experiences for all skill levels.
The mountain bike rides are on a dirt, single-trail path. Guests are required to bring their own mountain bikes and equipment. If you are unable to do so, please reach out to Dakota Cyclery for assistance.

Bennett Backcountry Experience
Level of Difficulty: Intermediate
Driving Distance from Medora: About 1 hour to Bennett Campground
Transportation: Self-Transportation
Date: Tuesday, June 30 | 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM MT (approximate; later if staying overnight)
Join us at Bennett Campground at 5:00 PM MT for an evening of outdoor adventure. Choose your activity—bike ride, run, or hike—and explore the surrounding trails before regrouping for a BBQ at 7:00 PM MT.
The structured portion of the evening will conclude around 9:00 PM MT. Participants are welcome to camp overnight or return to their accommodations at their convenience.
Important Notes:
- Bring your own biking and camping equipment
- Bennett Campground has well water but no electricity
- Bringing bottled water is recommended
CCC Campground Bike Ride & Lunch
Level of Difficulty: Beginner to Advanced (2-mile & 11-mile trail options)
Transportation: Self-Transportation
Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM MT
Participants will meet at CCC Campground at 11:00 AM MT for a group bike ride through scenic trails. Riders can choose between a 2-mile route for a more relaxed experience or an 11-mile route for a more advanced ride. After the ride, participants are invited to gather at JL Beers in Watford City for a casual group lunch.
Important Notes:
- Guests must bring their own bikes and equipment, including helmets
- Bringing bottled water is recommended
Bully Pulpit Adventure: Plumley Draw Ride, Run & Hike
Level of Difficulty: Intermediate
Transportation: Shuttle provided from Plumley Draw back to Bully Pulpit Trailhead
Date: Thursday, July 2nd | 8:00 AM MT
The group will Bully Pulpit Trailhead at 8:00 AM MT for a 12-mile bike ride, run, or hike to Plumley Draw. After reaching Plumley Draw, guests will be shuttled back to the trailhead throughout the day.
Important Notes:
- Guests must bring their own bikes and equipment
- Meals are on your own
- Helmets, bottled water and proper trail footwear are recommended
