Saddle up and experience the terrain as Roosevelt did—on horseback. Trail rides will offer both scenic beauty and immersive frontier storytelling.

Little Missouri State Park - Killdeer, ND
Some of the most rugged Badlands terrain in the state. Most of the park is accessible only by horseback or hiking. More than 30 miles of marked trails crisscross the 5,749 acre park with mapping information available. Corrals are provided along with guided tours and horse rentals also available.

Schnell Ranch Recreation Area - Richardton, ND
2,000 acres of native prairie and wooded draws set aside for recreation, wildlife habitat and environmental education. Camping, hiking, wildlife viewing, horseback trails, cross-country skiing, mountain biking. Corrals are available; however, guests must provide their own horses. The location is approximately one hour outside of Medora.
